Video still from Mark Formanek’s ‘Standard Time’ performance
‘Standard Time’ is a 24 hours performance where 70 workers dismantle and rebuild a wooden sculpture representing the time. For the real life digital clock 1611 changes had to be done – always under the pressure of running out of time.

Yesterday there was the night of the ‘Illuminated Synagogues’ to remember the victims of the November pogroms in 1938. To bring the destroyed synagogues to our minds, every former place was illuminated with a bright spot. The lights were accompanied by a voice installation reading the names of the victims and sounds of breaking glass.
