KNIZE & Comp. is a famous Viennese haberdasher. The company was founded in 1858 by the Czech Josef Schneider KNIZE. The current shop at Graben 13 was designed by architect Adolf Loos and has remained almost unchanged. From 1992 to 1993, the architect and designer Paolo Piva renovated the first floor and the historic Loos Salons. KNIZE is renowned for his famous clients. Among them Oskar Kokoschka, Marilyn Monroe, and Kurt Tucholsky. Marlene Dietrich was fitted with tailcoats for her stage shows, and Josephine Baker with ski pants. Billy Wilder visited the house during his last stay in Vienna. Customers were also Maurice Chevalier and Laurence Olivier, Willi Forst and Fritz Lang.

M. Gibian is an excellent skate and sports shop that offers stuff from brands like Element, és, WESC, and many more. Do not let fool you by the old skool facade, it’s super fancy inside.
