Kissing at the Café Prückel

Today people gathered to protest against the discriminatory practices of Café Prückel. A few days ago two women were kicked out of the café because of kissing publicly. The rally was a huge success as the street and place in front of the Café Prückel were full of people. Follow the discussion and further actions under the hashtag #kuessenimprueckel

Zaha Hadid – WU Library and Learning Center

The Library and Learning Center (LC) is the centerpiece of the new campus of the Vienna University of Economics iand Business. Responsible architect was Zaha Hadid with her Hamburg office. The cantilevered roof of the building and the so-called ‘Monitor’ (a huge panorama window) capture the eye of the viewer. The space inside is stuctured by a spacious atrium and narrow “canyons” that divide the massive exterior.
