When the city approaches a Renaissance palace

In this case it is the so-called ‘Neugebäude Palace’ which was constructed clearly outside Vienna in the second half of the 16th century. Later it fell into disuse and was partly destroyed. Only in 2001 the palace was restored and is now being used as a site for open-air cinema, concerts, exhibitions and other festivities.

FREITAG is known for its messenger bags made from used truck tarpaulins. The bags are cut by hand and finished with worn bicycle tubes and car seat belts.

The Viennese store in Neubaugasse 26 is completely furnished with the award-winning modular shelving system by Colin Schaelli. The shelves are made from used materials as well.
