A childhood memory …
‘Niemetz’ is a very traditional Austrian confectionery manufacturer in the third district of Vienna (Landstraße). The roots of the company date back to a cafe and pastry shop in Linz, that was founded by Edmund Niemetz in 1890.
The very lovely factory outlet with Sixties design
Niemetz is known for the production of ‘Schwedenbomben’ (chocolate-coated marshmallow treats), ‘Manya’ (a hazelnut-cream bar with chocolate icing) and ‘Swedy’ (a peanut-cream bar with chocolate icing). The products are sold in almost every country in Europe.

Although Paris is considered a fashion metropolis, Parisian women have been banned legally from wearing trousers till this day. The law was introduced in 1800 and finally repealed by French minister for women’s rights Najat Vallaud-Belkacem. Vive la révolution et les Françaises!
