Pink China

If there was a colour I did not like at all, it was pink. And I thought that I already know everything about it. But then I discovered the photo series ‘Pink China’ by Pietro Baroni and my mind was blown.

And of course, it offers a lot to learn about China. Check it out at: Pink China

He won an Honorable Mention in the 2012 International Photography Awards (IPA), People Lifestyle Category, with the project “Milan Closets”. Pietro loves cinema of all kinds, regional cuisine, NBA, quotes of Federico Buffa and if he could live a different life he would trade it only with an extreme mountain climber: one who pushes his mental and physical limits and discovers.

The more than 300 paintings, sculptures and videos show men not primarily in an art historical context, but in a social. The exhibition starts with the period around 1900.

The works by Edvard Munch, Louise Bourgeois, Keith Haring, Pierre et Gilles and many more are divided into twelve chapters such as ‘Adam’, ‘I’, ‘Biceps’, ‘Domination’, ‘Gay’, ‘Boy’, ‘Age’ or ‘Pose’.

Milan Closets

Found this amazing photo series by PIETRO BARONI. It shows ordinary Milanese people in front of their closets.

MilanClosets

Let us hear by which thoughts the maestro was driven:

“For the rest of the world, Milan is one of the main references for fashion and luxury brands. The vision of the everyday is almost blocked, hidden by big names in luxury, fashion and design. In my project I wanted to photograph the Milanese,
ordinary people, in front of their closet. Open.
Different ages, gender, social class or profession create a collage mixed
a city that hides its sides the most intriguing homes.
I have tried (and am still continuing) to find them.”
